End Of Year Highlights With Emote

The holidays are nearly here.

But before we all take a much needed break, we thought we should take a look back at some of the exciting clients and projects we worked on over the past year.

This year we delivered over 500+ digital projects and managed over $4.5 million in media spend — all while living through the turbulent natures of ongoing COVID lockdowns and business uncertainty. It’s safe to say we’re pretty chuffed with ourselves. Here are just some of our highlights from this year.

The Essential Ingredient – Search Advertising

The Essential Ingredient knew that there were people out there wanting to buy rose harissa or a tortilla press. So how did we get those people to their website?

This specialty retailer had an excellent range of products and a great website but struggled with brand awareness. That’s why we launched on Google Shopping Ads so their incredible range of products was reaching the right people at the right time. This format brings quality traffic to your site at a low cost per click, making it a good option for the budget conscious.

By adding the right extension to their website and configuring their products feed properly, we helped Google know when to show their ads. In the first three months, the Shopping campaign had a return on ad spend of 17x, which means it made $17 of revenue for every dollar spent.

That’s a huge win for any online specialist retailer!

Suzuki Motorcycles – Design & Ad Collateral

We created a pre and post-launch campaign to promote the highly anticipated Hayabusa Gen III launch, including a social media countdown. Our strategy included a whole range of services including press ads, Google ads, organic social content, website banners and EDM design to celebrate the release.

It’s safe to say the Hayabusa Gen III campaign really took off. We exceeded their KPI’s and received deposits or reservations on all units via their specialty built bike platform prior to the bike going to retail.

These wonderful marketing campaign results from our team have the Hayabusa Gen III ready to hit the road.

APNA – Social Advertising

The Australian Primary Health Care Nurses Association is the peak professional body for nurses working in primary health care. Their core values include sustainability, leadership and education in the health care sector, with a specific focus on nursing. APNA came to us requesting a digital marketing strategy to increase sign ups to their Transition to Practise Programs in NT & TAS.

We recommended a social media campaign using remarketing and lookalike audiences. We saw powerful results for APNA, easily hitting our member growth targets with a combination of successful campaigns across Facebook, LinkedIn and Google. Through this strategy, we achieved the highest level of sign ups to date.

Thank you for all the work you and your team at Emote did for the campaign as well. We had really fantastic results in NT, as we’ve received the most applications from NT than previously.”

IVET Institute – Website

IVET’s old website was dated, overwhelming and hard to navigate. Luckily this is exactly the challenge we enjoy.

Our team completely rebuilt their website with seamless user navigation and UX, with a great new homepage design. This included a complete design and illustration package to make the site feel alive with bright infographics and handy modules. We also gave the ability to house all the FAQs in the backend for IVET as they were previously using multiple platforms that weren’t efficient or effective which makes it easier for the Content editors to control.

With a beautifully responsive design on both desktop and mobile, the new website perfectly balances corporate information with a playful youthfulness.

See the results for yourselves here.

salt&pepper – Social & Search Advertising, SEO & Content

salt&pepper is an iconic Aussie brand with stores nationwide and a huge online presence. Check your kitchen cupboards and we’re pretty confident you’d find something labelled with salt&pepper. They needed a complete digital overhaul with SMA, SEA, SEO and Content. We worked with them to create a winning strategy to increase revenue across all channels.

Over the course of our partnership, we have quickly tapped into both existing and new audiences using a variety of ad formats to showcase existing and new products. The key was to show users content relevant to them, without overloading. In May alone we saw a massive 30% increase in monthly revenue. This continued and we are now seeing revenue up 45% compared to the same time last year and website traffic up by 38%.

We can’t wait to see what 2022 will bring for this iconic brand!

Emote Wins Australian Social Media Award

Winners are grinners! And we’re smiling from ear to ear about our latest gold win.

This June we picked up first place in the Social Media category at the 16th Annual Australian Web Awards. These awards were founded in 2005 to support the web industry and entries are judged by industry leaders. The “cream of the crop” is recognised and awarded every year and we’re proud to be rubbing shoulders with the best of Australian digital.

We received the award for the work we did for our client Erstwilder. With our help, online accessory label Erstwilder increased their revenue by a massive 62% from social. How did we do it? By developing a full-scale strategy, boosting brand awareness and leveraging our 20 years of experience.

Emote Adds an Extra Office

We keep going from strength to strength here at Emote.

We knew that our Hawthorn office couldn’t quite fit us all anymore — so it was time to branch out and discover something new. The Commons is a new co-working space in South Yarra that is perfectly suited to our growing needs.

This beautiful building is convenient for those south of the river and brings a nice change of scenery (and lunch options) for us. With this extra space, we are excited to bring on even more clients and host more meetings. Come and visit us next year!

Shady Rays – Social & Search Advertising

This US based eCommerce brand was looking to make a splash in Australia. We needed to prioritise brand awareness in the short term with a view to building towards strong revenue and ROAS growth in the long term. We knew that this coming summer was the best time to launch into the Aussie market.

Using a multi channel approach across Facebook, Google, YouTube, Display and more we were able to gain an incredible reach and start building ROAS far earlier than we expected. With the seeds planted, we can’t wait to see the exciting growth of this sunglasses giant across Australia in 2022!
